Question: In Wuthering Heights does the rain represent anything important!?
I noticed how it frequently rained whenever it mentioned Heathcliff and Catherine!. I didn't know if the rain was symbolic of their relationship or not!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I noticed that too!
I always thought that maybe since Healthcliff and Cathy were so mean to each other that their relationship represented that of a thunderstorm!. Like they would fight, and the anger would be like thunder!. But then rain can also be sad and it would reflect their deep sadness!. Then at the end of a thunderstorm, all is quiet and serene with broken pieces everywhere, which is like after both of them die!. All is calm but still broken!.

i could be reading too much into it!. but that's always what i thought!. hope i helped!Www@QuestionHome@Com
