It is about a woman's journey through Italy, India and Indonesia thus the eat, pray, love sequence through each country - what adventures, what lessons! Shelby Foote--The Civil War: A Narrative, 3 volumes!. Foote, a historian, wrote better than most novelists!. There's not a dull sentence to be found!.

David McCullough is another historian who is very popular due to his excellent writing skills!. See his 1776, John Adams, The Path Between the Seas, The Great Bridge!.
