Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Sarah Dessen books are really good!. Here are my favorites:

The Truth About Forever
This Lullaby
Keeping the MoonWww@QuestionHome@Com

The Twilight Series- Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn (August 2, 2008) By: Stephenie Meyer
"Maximum Ride" Series- The Angel Experiment, Schools Out- Forever, Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports, The Final Warning By: James Patterson (Don't read "The Final Warning" unless you want to, its the worst of the series)
The House of Night Series By: P!.C!. and Kristin Cast (Marked, Betrayed, Chosen)
Their are alot more books out there you just need to know how to look for them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try a book by one of the Bronte clan!.

In case you're feeling angsty, try anything by George Orwell, the man was absolutely brilliant, but since you say "realistic," I'd go with "1984"!. "The Catcher in the Rye" is another excellent choice, and an appropriate choice as you roll into your teens!. Sylvia Plath is a little more depressing, but you might try "The Belljar!."

To make it short, just go for a classic!. You can (almost) never go wrong there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Gemma Doyle Trilogy - A Great and Terrible Beauty, Rebel Angels, The Sweet Far Thing
Twilight Series
Mediator Series
Vampire Academy
Clique Series
House of Night Series
The Giver
I Have Lived a Thousand Years
Pride and Prejudice (Might be too complex to understand)
Wicked Lovely (and) The Ink Exchange
Wuthering Heights (Might be too complex to understand)Www@QuestionHome@Com

A Separate Peace
Kim
Treasure Island
Robinson Crusoe

These are all good classics for young people!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
