Question: Need help for a short story I am tying to write but very blocked!?
I have an idea I seriously would like to mold into a short story!.
The idea is "what if God gave up on man!?", what is a divine power who ever it may be just looked at aus as a huan race and just said forget it I'm one with you guys, fend for yourselves and your own faith!.
I need a story or idea on how to demonstrate ordinary characters/people in extrordinary circumstances!.
I would like to incorparte a tattooed older guy kinda of a hemit who has no belief in god in the first place like he lost his faith eons ago because of something vile or so wrong that happen in his life and he come across a very broken world and a very young women in her teens who like him is broken herself but both of their paths cross and they somehow restore a balance or order of faith back in the world and the divine power is just mystified at the lengths they go too in believing again!.!.!.!.!.

It sounds interesting, but you'll have a decent-sized crowd hollering "There already is no God!." To start the story, I would create a group of people in an undisclosed location of 'maybe' Earth!. They relied on God and they saw the actions of that god in very tangible effects!. But they fight and squabble!. God decides, "Screw 'em," and leaves!. The people begin fighting and arguing and civilization goes to pot!.
Then, you can introduce your two characters!. They still continue to perservere even after being forsaken!. But, because of their actions, God decides to return!.
It would be a fun story!. You could show the slow rotting of society, with these two triumphing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
The only help I can offer is to caution against having any romance or attraction between the old hermit guy and the woman young enough to be his grand-daughter!. That story line, especially in a desolate world setting, has been done to death amd remains a creepy banal choice!.
Otherwise, you should distract yourself with some activity and then come back to your story!. Only your ideas will make the story uniquely yours!. Good luck!! : )Www@QuestionHome@Com
