It's a kid's book, I think, about a cat detective!. The style is an homage to film noir!. I'm *pretty* sure the cat's name is Sam, like Sam Spade from The Maltese Falcon, which would fit!. Some kitty comes to him for help, as is true to film noir and al that!. I hadit somewhere, but I can't for the life of me remember the title!. The cover has the cat and a street lamp and I think he's in one of those tan coats!.
