I love to read and I love reading the classics too!. My goal is to read all the important novels before my life is over, but I have a feeling I won't reach that goal!. Of course, I have books on my shelf that I haven't read, but I don't pretend that I read them!. I still don't understand why I would pretend about that!. Who am I trying to impress!? Who am I trying to fool!? What do I gain by it!? I win only by reading and I lose when I don't - the race is by myself and not with others!.Www@QuestionHome@Com A friend gave me a beautiful edition of "Dune" - I tried, but I just couldn't read much of it!. He kept asking how I like it!. I knew there was no way I was ever going to read it, but I lied and said "you're right, it's a great book, thank you"!. That was more than ten years ago and I haven't opened it since!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I began reading The Communist Manifesto in 7th grade, and everyone was amazed by the fact that I was reading it!. I soon became bored and stopped, but when those same people (teachers mainly) asked me if I had finished it, I said I had!.
