This is such a superb book!. I haven't finished it but I am close!. Basically you pick up the practices of Islam as a foreigner, as an American like Greg is!. You learn bits and pieces about what these destitute, primitive Pakistanis are like!. You see their values in education, which is their ticket out of the daily hardships they battle!. The thing you learn from the book is that they may live in the same country and practice the same religion and struggle with poverty and a more primitive lifestyle, but the culture of these groups are different!.
