Being unfamiliar with it, I looked it up in Wiki, which says nothing much about it, and gives no hint that names are not mentioned till near the end!. I guess you mean only the parents names!?

Perhaps that's because the parents are supposed to be so tangled up with their finances and trouble, they aren't even aware of Paul's physical state: exhaustion!.

I recalled reading it as I read the summary, and know that Paul rode that horse with desperate intensity, causing an end to the story that shows any amount of money is never worth who one loves!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
