You wanted the opinion of a librarian, and here it is: Bibles are placed in nonfiction!.

In libraries, "Fiction" doesn't mean "false" and "Nonfiction" doesn't mean "true!." (We try to let readers decide for themselves what is true or false!.) "Fiction" is a literary genre that includes novels and short stories, and "nonfiction" is everything else!. Since the Bible is neither a novel nor a collection stories, it goes in nonfiction!.

If you live in the United States, your library almost certainly uses either the Dewey Decimal Classification or the Library of Congress Classification!. In the DDC, numbers 220-229 are for the Bible:
220 Bible
221 Old Testament (Tanakh)
222 Historical books of Old Testament
223 Poetic books of Old Testament
224 Prophetic books of Old Testament
225 New Testament
226 Gospels & Acts
227 Epistles
228 Revelation (Apocalypse)
229 Apocrypha & pseudepigrapha

In the LCC, the class BS is for the Bible (make of that what you will):
BS1-680 General
BS701-1830 Old Testament
BS1901-2970 New TestamentWww@QuestionHome@Com

Everyone's trying to make a statement here!.!.!. Shut up and tell the truth, guys!.
It's in the reference section next to the other religious texts!. That's all!. No reason to get into a debate over something so small!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ask the Librarian!. He or she is an expert!

Most libraries have a "Religion" section, and the Dewey Decimal System has a section for religious works!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
