Many publishers want you to be over 18 because of legal reasons!. But you do not have to be 18 to be a published author! I have published many poems and I've sent in a few books to be published, but I'm just 13! I suggest you pick up a copy of Writer's Market, which comes out yearly!. Some publishers only want work from minors, and others are picky!. But I'm sure there's some publisher out there that will publish what you write if you have enough skill!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Submit your work to an agent!. If you are a minor your parents will have to sign contracts if your work is accepted!.

A minor cannot sign legal contracts!. You have to be at least 18 to do so!. Until then your parents or someone authorized on your behalf by a Judge will need to sign!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think there is an age restriction when publishing!. However, it is harder at a younger age to get a book published!. You could try Scholastic or Penguin!. Good Luck!!

^ Go down to Manuscript Submissions and read it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There is no age limit!. Isamu Fukui, author of Truancy, published his book and is barely seventeen!. The only thing is that if you're a minor (18 or under), your parents have to sign the contract!.

That is not true!. There was one extremely popular young poet who was I believe nine years old!. I'm not sure what companies accept books written by kids so if you're really interested just send your manuscript to ones you really like and hope for the best!

Good luck!! :-)Www@QuestionHome@Com
