I don't read romance!
But I would given the right type!.!.!. I've been meaning to read a Jane Austin and I don't mind books with love in them I just really don't want to read a soft core porno book like harlequin!.
Read Atonement, closest thing to a romance novel I've read, LOVED IT!.

Mainly read fantasy!. Yes girls can like fantasy too! And still be hot!. XD
Just finished "Eragon" and "Eldest" but have to wait til Sept for the third book and in the meantime I have NOTHING!!!!!

GAH!!!!!

Please recommend me a DECENT well written book!!! OR 2 or 3 cuz I read fast haha!. Perhaps a trilogy or something!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
My all-time favorite fantasy series is Katherine Kurtz' Deryni series!. Some of these books are out of print and can be hard to find even in a used book store, but it's worth finding them all!. To read them by their internal chronology, the order is:
* Camber of Culdi
* Saint Camber
* Camber the Heretic
* The Harrowing of Gwynedd
* King Javan's Year
* The Bastard Prince
* In the King's Service
* Childe Morgan
* Deryni Rising
* Deryni Checkmate
* High Deryni
* The Bishop's Heir
* The King's Justice
* The Quest for Saint Camber
* King Kelson's Bride

Did you read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!? If you like the bizarre kind of humor from the Hitchhiker books, try reading Jasper FfordeFforde's THURSDAY NEXT series (be sure you read the copyright page, all the footnotes, the adverts in the back -it's all relevant! The books are set in an alternate universe where some things are identical with our earth and some things are !.!.!.!.!. most definitely not!):
- The Eyre Affair
- Lost in a Good Book
- The Well of Lost Plots
- Something Rotten
- Thursday Next: First Among Sequels

This is an interesting fantasy trilogy:
The Fionavar Tapestry Books by Guy Gavriel Kay:
- The Summer Tree
- The Wandering Fire
- The Darkest Road
He has another book, "Ysabel," that isn't a sequel to the trilogy but does have a couple of the characters from the trilogy!.

The Princess Bride by William Goldman

The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley (This is the King Arthur legend told from the viewpoint of the women in his life - his aunt Vivienne (The Lady of the Lake), his mother Ygraine, his half-sister Morgaine, and his wife Guinivere!. Gives the whole legend a brand new look!. If you saw the television mini-series, don't worry - the book is at least a thousand times better!. The mini-series was so bad, and so unrecognizable when compared to the book, that I didn't even watch the whole thing!.)

Gregory McGuire's fairy-tale retellings are brilliant:
- Wicked
- Mirror, Mirror
- Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister
- Lost

The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield (a twist at the end that leaves you breathless!) Not fantasy, but definitely a book you don't want to miss!.

The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffeneger (have a box of tissues handy)

The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova (She meshes Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' with the historical Vlad the Impaler and tosses in vampire legends to make a thoroughly fabulous read)

The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox by Maggie O'Farrell - Not fantasy, but still a fantastic read!. Told from the viewpoints of Iris, a young woman who owns her own dress shop; Esme, the great-aunt that Iris never knew about because Esme has been in a mental institution for 60 years; and Kitty, Iris' grandmother and Esme's sister who is living in an assisted-care facility and suffers from Alzheimer's!. The three viewpoints and the three women's knowledge converge to tell a tale of betrayal and family secrets that you can't put down!.

And then Kate Mosse has 2 books that aren't exactly sequels, but some of the characters do overlap:
Labyrinth

I enjoy fantasy too :)

Im not sure how old you are!.!. but i really enjoyed Libba Bray's trilogy, A Great and Terrible Beauty, Rebel Angels && The Sweet Far Thing!. They are about a girl in her teens who discovers 'the realms' which is a place sort of like a paralell universe full of magic!. its in the 1800s and her and her friends travel to the realms through a door of light the main character can make appear using her mind!. they are very intriguing!.
