Question: What happens in the last 3 Harry Potter Books!?
I've seen the movies but have never read any of the books!. I do plan on picking up the half blood prince this weekend but I'm the type that wants to know what happens before I read it I heard that Dumbledore dies and then Snape dies!. also, someone told me that Snape was friend's with Harry's mother when they were younger and that's why James didn't like Snape!. also I was told that Snape wanted to take care of Harry after his parents were killed but Dumbledore said no!. Is any of this true!? If someone could tell me the major things that happen in the last 3 books, that would be great!! Does Harry die in the last book!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

well in the 2nd last book, harry and dumbledore go on a quest to retrieve the 7 lifeforces that voldemort had placed of himself around so that no1 could kill him unless they destroyed the forces first!. Dumbledore dies at the end of the 6th book!. Snape kills him and the school is closed down and snape runs away to be a full time deatheater!.
in the 7th book, harry ron and hermione do not go back to hogwarts when voldemort takes control of it and opens it back up with snape as the headmaster!. The three have to go and find the three deathly hallows (wand, cloak and resurection stone)!. It turns out that harry had the cloak all along that he got in the 1st book from an unknown source!.
Harry goes to the school in the end to confront voldemort once and for all!. Snape does die as voldemorts snape eats him!. It turns out snape was good and not evil and worked for dumbledore!. dumbledore told him to watch over harry so that is why snape was always around when harry was about to die and was seemingly always knew stuff!. It turns out that a year before dumbledore was killed, he told snape that snape would have to kill dumbledore!.
harry potter does die in the last book but does come back again!. It turns out that voldemort had a lifeforce in harry so when harry died, so did voldemorts last lifeforce besides his own!. whilst harry is 'dead' he talks to dumbledore and then comes alive and faces voldemort again for the finale!.
harry wins but various people die!.
remus, fred, mad eye moody, harry's owl, tinks (i forget remus' wifes name) and about 4 or so others that ended up dying!.!.
the last chapter is set 19 years later!. ron and hermione are married and have 2 children!. one is called rose and the other is a boy but forget the name!.
harry and ginny are married and have 3 children!. lily, james and albus (after his parents and dumbledore!.)

you have to read all the books (yes, 1-7) so you can really understand it!. The movies leave out so much, and some of it won't make sense if you didn't read the books in order!. even though they look long and you think they will take ages to read, they actually don't! I read the 5th one (the biggest book) withing two days! read them in order from beginning to end and then read the last couple!. you know what they say, the books are always better than the movies!Www@QuestionHome@Com
Honestly, it isn't best to know what happens!. My uncle read the page out loud knowing I hadn't read it yet, and to be honest, it ruined the entire book for me as I read it, because I knew the ending!. Honestly it is better to be all surprised!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I really suggest that you read the books, all of them!. You're missing out on so much!. The movies are inaccurate, and above all somewhat lame!. They're not hard, just a little long!.

Oh you really have to read all the books from the start!. the films are great, but absoulutely nothing compared to the books!. they are fantastic!!! There is so much that the films miss out and if you start reading the books half way through, thers a lot you may not understandWww@QuestionHome@Com
Dude,, u better read the books in the order!.!. the movies miss most of the details!.!. u will enjoy the characters and appreciate the characterization!. There are characteres like Dobby, Snape , whom who will start loving in the end!.!.

Well, I'll try to answer this!.
First, your questions about book 6
1) Dumbledore dies - yes, Dumbledore appears to be dead at the end of book 6
2) Snape dies - no, Snape is alive at the end of book 6
3) Snape & Lily Potter (neé Evans) friends - yes, Snape & Lily Evans were friends *before* Lily & James began dating
4) James & Snape - nothing in the books suggests that James disliked Snape because of his friendship with Lily!. However, in book 7 it is clear that they disliked each other from the first moment they met!.
5) Snape & Harry - I don't want to give away too much here, but I will say this: Snape did not offer to adopt or foster Harry (as far as we know), Snape genuinely dislikes Harry, and Snape genuinely is trying to have Harry expelled!.
