Question: Realistic Fiction vs!. Historical Fiction!?

I was wondering if any1 can think of any major similarities and/or differences between historical fiction and realistic fiction!?!?!?

Historical difference is usually anything that revolves around an actual historical event (ie: Vietnam, WWI-II, Civil War, etc!.)!. Realistic fiction is just the story of someone who didn't exist in history, but isn't a fantasy story (ie: anything by Sarah Dessen!. GREAT books, by the way)!. Realistic fiction can be during a historic event, but isn't centered around it!. Like, it could be a book about a girl surviving HS, but it takes place during WWII!. That'd be Realistic Fiction!. Historical would be something like Summer of my German Soldier or Slaughter House 5!.
