Question: Harry Potter and Twilight!?!?!?

Why do people compare Twilight to Harry Potter!?!? Don't get me wrong, Harry Potter's a really good series, but why do people need to compare it to Twilight!?!?!? They're not that similar!Www@QuestionHome@Com

they have similarities!. both in twilight and harry potter there is a constant threat!. in twilight the threat is the volutri, (until bella becomes a vampire) which hasn't happened yet!. and in harry potter the threat is voldemort, who has revenge/power issues and is constantly trying to kill harry!. both series have a protector so to speak with both being male!. edward protects bella!. harry protects everyone (he tries)!. both are far from reality and dealing with the supernatural!. both are popular series appealing the a younger crowd!. in both there is someone going against the "protector" in twilight it's jacob and in harry potter it's malfoy!. both the main characters have something special about them, bella's blood sings to edward and she's the only one he's ever been attracted to!. harry is the only one to survive an attack by voldemort!. and both main characters are very good at evading death!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

really when you logically think about it you can't compare them

-vampires really have no place in harry potter, there was only one!.
-wizards have no place in twilight because they are in a war over blood statuses and humans don't have any so they would just get inthe way and get killed by voldemort!.

so when a argument arises using the one that you like as proof doesn't work because the rules are different!. they exist in two different worlds!. the wizards are dominant in their world as the vampires are in theirs!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

They're similar because people get obsessed with them!. NOT because they're similar in the popularity, because I can't get a single Twilight book in any bookshop or library in my country!.!.!. That's not the case with Harry Potter, it's available everywhere!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's because both are an amazingly popular and really good series!. The way people are gearing up towards the release of breaking dawn and mifnight release parties are being planed, pre orders running rampant through local book stores, remind you of anything else!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Totally agree wid u!!!! Harry Potter and Twilight are both AMAZING books! and i think that is why peeps compare them!. Theyre not similar at all but are compared to see which is best!.
