!. No!. And this is how you can be sure: in New Moon, after the first time Jacob becomes his wolf phase, he is mean to Bella!. He won't tell her what is wrong!. He says he can't see her anymore!. If he'd imprinted on Bella in that moment (and it happens the first time you see the person after you've phased), he would have answered all her questions!. Pretty much, he would have given her anything in the world she wanted!. (When he's staring at her on the bottom of page 173 in Eclipse, he's trying to make himself imprint on her!. There's a difference between falling in love and imprinting!. He's in love with her, but wanted to imprint on her to make their being together unavoidable!. But, as people have already said, you can't force yourself to imprint on someone like Jacob was trying to do!. And just to point this out, if he had imprinted on Bella, Bella and Edward would never have happened, because Bella and Jacob knew eachother from childhood!.

I think that he helped her in some way!. She kissed Jacob and then she finally decided that there was nothing for her with Jacob!. Eward was the one she turly loved!. She loved Jacob, we all know that!. But I think that she finally just decided that she couldn't live without Edward!. Jacob of course begged like a dog, for her not go for Edward!. Nah, although Jacob loves Bella, he wants her to be happy just as much as Edward does!. He wants to imprint on her, but he hasn't, so he accepts it (albeit painfully)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
