What are your thoughts on that!? I don't think I'd actually read it!. And to your remark about Stephenie Meyer feeding preteens with lies, um, everything she writes is fiction anyway so that doesn't really make any sense, plus she doesn't make people obsessed with what she writes, she writes what she wants to write and waits and sees the feedback from the publishing company!. And if the publishers like it, it gets published and feedback comes in from the general public!. What else can an author do!? It's obsessive people who create the obsession and spread it, not the author!. Plus, it's not just preteens who read her stuff!. That is probably the smallest percentage of the fanbase!. She was talking about how she didn't know what she would write about next because she didn't have anything planned!. Thats when she mentioned she might end up writing a book about mermaids but she really had no idea!. I think it was just a random example of something she might write about!. Well on the obsession part, I think thats absurd!. Just because she wrote an amazing series doesn't mean she made everyone obsessed with her books!.
