take a day away relax somewhere quiet and just think, think through ur whole life and take out the bits that would make a great story change some names and add in something to do with fantasy or a happy ending and voila instant original plotWww@QuestionHome@Com

Forget about original plots!. For instance, 'Harry Potter' is hardly original!. It's not so different to Walt Disney's 'Fantasia' (at least I think that was the title) or another dozen before!. Rowling just found a different way of putting it over!.

After all the years of creative writing, there is little likelihood of finding your very own original plot!. Instead, concentrate on making your 'voice' original, make your style prominent!.

When an idea comes to mind, and you know it's been used and overused by other authors--dismiss the idea and move on!.
