Hope I helped and happy reading!

Sorry I just realized my links do not work! UGH! How annoying!. If you just type the name of the book in it will pull it up!.!. Sorry!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I love Meg Cabot (Heather Wells & Queen of Babble) and Sophie Kinsella's (Shopaholic [soon to be movie] & Remember Me) Emily Giffin (Something Borrowed & Something Blue, Baby Proof) books!. I am in the process of reading Jennifer Weiner's (Good In Bed & Certain Girls) books!. They are all great authors!

For a young adult/teen Meg Cabot's young adult books!. She is the best author!. also best selling!. She wrote tons of books including the Princess Diaries (Movies based on her books), Mediator (upcoming movie), 1-800-Missing (TV show based on her books), Jinx, Airhead and more!. She has adult books too, so you can grow with her!.

If you want more info or any of the authors website's email me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you like something pretty easy to read, say for a chillout beach holiday, I'd recommend 'The Abortionist's Daughter' or 'A Secret History Of Tractors In Ukrainian'!. Two very different novels, but both pretty good easy reads!. If you want something really meaty, one of the best books I've read in recent years is 'The Secret History' by Donna Tartt!. About 600+ pages, but when I was given it to read in a week at uni (and panicked for 3 days wondering how I would ever finish it!), I settled down at about midday and couldn't put it down until I finished it - about 3am!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You said anything will do, so I'll offer suggestions from a variety of genres!.!.!.

For historical fiction (a lot of these contain underlying romance, as well):
-Anne of Green Gables series by Lucy Maud Montgomery (this series has eight books overall, the first one being Anne of Green Gables)!. This series takes place in the early 1900s, and is about a hot-headed, stubborn orphan girl who finds a way of fitting into the little town of Avonlea on Prince Edward Island!. As the series progresses, the main character (Anne) grows up, marries, etc!.!.!.
-Anything by Jane Austen, such as Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Persuasion, etc!.!.!.Many of her books are about women of the 1800s and their attempts at fitting into society, finding romance/love, etc!.!.!.
-Little Women by Louisa May Alcott - This is about four sisters in the 1860s, and it portrays how the sisters grow up, find romance/love, etc!.!.!.

For fantasy/fiction:
-The Hobbit by J!.R!.R!. Tolkien and The Lord of the Rings trilogy by Tolkien!. Tolkien's books are filled with creativity, wonderful and imaginative characters, intelligence, and excellent writing!.!.!.
-The Chronicles of Narnia by C!.S!. Lewis - These may be written technically for children, but even adults can enjoy this series; this series is a very fun and magical read!. And the underlying messages in these books are very profound and intelligent!.
-I don't how old you are, but when I was a little younger I enjoyed Tamora Pierce's fantasy books/series!. Her books are for young teens and young adults, I believe, but even those older can enjoy her books!. My favorite series of hers was always Circle of Magic, which has four books, each one revolving around a kid with a special power!. Her series called The Song of the Lioness is also good; it's about a girl trying to become a knight!.
-For something a little more mature, perhaps, you could try George R!.R!. Martin's fantasy novels/series!. I have actually never read his stuff, but my dad enjoys his works (and so do many others I've talked to!.!.!.)!. His books are written for young adults and mainly adults, I believe!. One fantasy series of his that is popular is called A Song of Ice and Fire!.

For suspense:
-Books by Dean Koontz - Koontz's books are filled with excellent suspense!. His book called Watchers is good, and its suspense starts on page 1!. Watchers involves the consequences of a top-secret government laboratory genetically altering two creatures - one a very intelligent dog and the other a savage monster!. Koontz's books have excellent suspense and even a little horror intertwined in them, and many also have some romance involved in them!. Since I don't know how old you are, just as a warning, some of his books are a little more on the mature side, with some brief mature moments and some choice language!.

For something a little more classic, perhaps:
-Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift - This is about a sailor/captain of a ship who, throughout the book, ends up in four different, interesting lands - one of the lands is inhabited by tiny people, one is inhabited by giants, one is inhabited by talking horses, and one of the lands is a floating island!.!.!.
-Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
-To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
-A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens (and many other novels written by Dickens)

Best wishes!Www@QuestionHome@Com
