Question: Confused with "A Tale of Two Cities"!?
In chapter 7, is the monseigneur and the marquis two separate individuals!? Because it says "Monsieur the Marquis," but the chapter refers to a Monseigneur!. Wasn't the monseigneur's only part in chapters 7-10 just to host that party and drink his hot chocolate!? This book is so confusing!. :PWww@QuestionHome@Com

Miffed at Monseigneur’s haughtiness, one guest, the Marquis Evrémonde, condemns Monseigneur as he leaves!.

Monseigneur, a great lord in the royal court, holds a reception in Paris!. The Marquis Evrémonde is less a believable character than an archetype of an evil and corrupt social order!.
