Question: Does anyone else hear a certain song and immediately think of a certain book!?
I don't mean because a movie was made and this song was included, and maybe you read the book!.
I mean, you listened to the song non-stop while you read the books!. Maybe it's some really odd album and Lord of the Rings!. Or Agatha Christie and Grateful Dead!. Something that doesn't seem to go together!.
For me, it's Good Charlotte's Young and the Hopeless and Harry Potter!. I read the first four books non-stop to YatH playing over and over, no other music in my stereo because it was my brand new CD!. Now that I found the CD today and am playing it, I just have such a strong urge to read the first book!. Does anyone else have some sort of association like this!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

What about a song or album based on a book!? Counting Crows' 'Rain King' is based on Saul Bellow's 'Henderson the Rain King!.' David Bowie based 'Diamond Dogs' off of George Orwell's '1984,' and there's always 'Dark Side of the Moon' (Pink Floyd) and 'The Wizard of Oz!.'
As far as songs that went together with books I was reading at the time, and an unexpected connection, I'll always associate Edna O'Brien's 'House of Splendid Isolation' with Oasis!. I know, weird comparison--but I bought the book when I was in Ireland, and it was the year that '(What's the Story) Morning Glory!?' was big ('96), so this really awesome and sad novel about the Troubles will always be scored to 'She's Electric' and 'Some Might Say!.'Www@QuestionHome@Com
