I like romance, historical fiction, funny books, pretty much everything except TWILIGHT, John Steinbeck, mysteries!.
However, I'm not picky!. If it sounds good, I'll read it!.

Whoever said Anne Rice was smart!. Definitely a great alternative to an other certain awful book series out there right now!.

As per historical fiction !.!.!.
If you haven't read the DaVinci Code yet, you should get that under your belt!. Even if the story and characters are kinda lame, it has the ability to astound just about anybody with the awesomeness of history!.

The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon is also an amazing historical satire, with a concept far more interesting than even the DaVinci Code!. Very short book, though Pynchon's writing has been called difficult (but rewarding!)!. In fact, it used to be on many required reading lists in high school's across America, but was gradually taken off because of kids being too dumb ;-)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Mists_of_Av!.!.!.
I've always loved her writing, even her Sci-fi books and I'm not a huge Sci-fi fan!. In this book she gives a feminist light on the Celtic era where Merlin reigned supreme!. In a topic that has been done to death, somehow she manages to make it all fresh and new, and a great read!. there are more books in this series that she wrote with Diane L!. Paxton including a prequel called Forest House!.

Books like this don't seem to be all that popular but I really enjoy them!. Maybe because I've always thought that being an archaeologist would be really cool!.

Jean M!. Auel's series Earth's Children!.

This is a series of historical fiction based on archaeological and paleontological research, with a worldwide scope!.

The People's books by Kathleen O'Neal Gear and W!. Michael Gear

Prehistoric North America based on archaeological and paleontological research!.These are fictional stories based on what the authors imagine things were like but also based on evidence collected at actual archaeological sites!. Each book covers a different site and a different tribal culture!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
