Unless of course you have a different plot line you want to pursue!. If you stopped from lack on interest, the difficult of researching, etc- then it may happen again!. You have to know where you're going with this book, and make sure it is a fun, easy read (unless you're intending to make the readers think)!. Writing is a difficult process, you should be entirely up to it!. I believe everyone has the ability to write, and you feel you can write- and continue this book!. I wish you the best, and keep in mind, it isn't easy to pick up where you left off!. I've tried, and the plot tends to change drastically!. Good luck for whatever you choose!. Only develop the plot and the character, because certainly there must have been a reason for abandoning the novel (happened to me 3 times lol)!.
