I would recommend some books by:

Kay Hooper (Amanda, After Caroline)

Elizabeth Lowell (Amber Beach, Jade Island, Pearl Cove, Midnight in Ruby Bayou)

Elizabeth Adler (The Secret of the Villa Mimosa, Now or Never)

Linda Howard (All the Queen's Men, Dream Man, Diamond Bay, Dying to Please)

Jayne Ann Krentz (Hidden Talents, Absolutely, Positively; she also writes historical fiction romantic suspense novels under the name Amanda Quick)

Iris Johansen (The Ugly Duckling, And Then You Die!.!.!., The Killing Game)

Catherine Coulter (her FBI mystery series starting with The Cove)

Wendy Haley (Dead Heat, Shadow Vengeance)

Julie Garwood (Heartbreaker, Killjoy)

Laura Hastings (The Turtledove's Secret, The Nightingale's Secret, The Falcon's Secret, The Peacock's Secret)

Tami Hoag (Cry Wolf, Dark Paradise)

Christina Skye (The Draycott Abbey series starting with Hour of the Rose)

Pat Warren (Nowhere to Run, Beholden)

Elizabeth Rossiter (The Lemon Garden - the only book of hers I've read, but very good)

I'd also highly recommend the romantic suspense novels of Phyllis A!. Whitney (The Ebony Swan, The Trembling Hills, The Moonflower, Seven Tears for Apollo, Skye Cameron, Woman Without a Past, Thunder Heights, Listen for the Whisperer) and Mary Stewart (The Ivy Tree, Touch Not the Cat, Nine Coaches Waiting, Airs Above the Ground, My Brother Michael, The Gabriel Hounds, This Rough Magic, Wildfire at Midnight) as well as some of the historical fiction romantic suspense novels by Victoria Holt/Philippa Carr!. You might also enjoy some of Sidney Sheldon's novels like Bloodline, Rage of Angels and Windmills of the Gods!.

I'd add Hidden Riches, Montana Sky and the DC Detectives (Sacred Sins and Brazen Virtue) by Nora Roberts!.

I hope this helps and you find lots of books you enjoy!Www@QuestionHome@Com

For the most part, I would suggest looking for other books by those authors - they consistently write entertaining books!.

I agree with all of ck1's suggestions but I would add the "In Death" series by JD Robb (Nora Roberts!.)

I also love Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series!. I can't read those in public anymore - it's embarassing when you burst out laughing for no apparent reason!.

Suzanne Brockman's S!.E!.A!.L series (there's two series) are both good too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
