Question: Non Explicit Romance Novels!?

I'm looking for extremely good romantic fiction that's not explicit!. I don't care about the time frame or setting, so long as it's got a gripping story line!. No harlequin romance please!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Eva Ibbotson wrote some wonderful light romances with just the right touch of history, the arts, comedy,etc!. Check out these books:
A Company of Swans
Madensky Square
A Countess Below Stairs (recently republished as The Secret Countess)
A Song for Summer
Magic Flutes
The Morning Gift
A Gloveshop in Vienna and other short stories
Her fiction is set in England/Europe in the first half of the century (before and during WW 1 and 2)!. Excellent reading!
Her writing is never dirty, always clean and with good taste!. No explicit love scenes/smut!.

Sarah Dessen is pretty good!. Her books based soley on romance, but the romantic parts aren't explicit!. I reccomend by her for romance:
1!. Someone Like You
2!. Dreamland
3!. Just Listen (although there's one somewhat explicit part, but you won't think much of it when you read it)
4!. The Truth About Forever
5!. This Lullaby

Other books:
1!. Can You Keep a Secret- Sophie Kinsella
2!. Anything by Nicholas Sparks
