Question: What's your favourite book in the crime/gangster genre!?

Anything by Ian Rankin is worth a read! He writes books about a Scottish detective called Rebus! For true crime I've not long bought a book called Powder Wars about gangsters in Liverpool!Www@QuestionHome@Com

My own favorite depicts the flip side of the usual novel, film, or TV gangsters: Jimmy Breslin's The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight!. It's hilarious but, probably, still a more accurate portrait of an east coast gangster, at least in the 1970s!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
