Question: Why does Edward taste Bella's tear in Twilight!?

I just read it and it confused me!.

That confused me too!. But, I think that he did that because he wants her so badly in 2 ways,

1!. He wants he blood
2!. Physically

He tastes her tear because he wants to "eat" her and he could "taste" her without hurting her this way!. And because he wants to be part of her!. Just a way for him to be connected to her and to feel closer to her!. I was a very sweet gesture!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think he tastes her tear because, well he is a vampire, and as of yeaterday, is 107 years old!. He has been a vampire for 90 years, and it has been that long since he even had the chance of crying!. So I think he was curious, he has been completely isolated from humans since he becam a vampire, so he probably forgot totally about it and everything!. He doesn't know what it is like, he just wants to know about he, almost like he is clinging to a human life, just to see what it is like again!. Hope you understand now!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Haha--yeah this definitely happened & i remember thinking it was extrememly gross no matter what!. I think it was an involuntary action, in order to taste her!. i tried to put that one out of my memory!. But yeah i think he wanted to see what it would taste like--- a little reminder to the readers that he still fights an urge (even though it subsided slightly) to kill her!.

In my opinion though i think edward has a good grasp on how crying feels like even though he can't cry himself!. I mean he goes to high school & can read minds and feel their experiences!. A good amount of high school are girls crying!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
