Twilight Series really that good?

Question: Twilight Series really that good!?

I often like reading young adult fiction, and I like reading about vampires, but is this book as really as good as it seems to be!? I'm pretty skeptical being as only teenage girls have reccomended it to me, can anyone convince me to read it!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm going to provide some negative feedback, mostly because almost all of the responses have consisted of "OMG THIS BOOK ROCKS!" and variants thereof!. Let it be known that I have not read this book, and these opinions are not mine!. also, some of these come from mormon-related websites (which can be expected, since Stephanie Meyer graduated from BYU)!.

It really just depends on what you usually like reading!. While it is very descriptive and fast-paced, I found incredibly annoying how Bella, the main character, often needed rescuing from Edward when she could just as well have done it herself!. also, I don't think it was very healthy how Bella was (and still is) willing to drop everything whenever Edward asks her to!. It's a very co-dependent relationship between them!.

Nevertheless, I always try to get people to give books a chance!. There are a lot of jewels in the YA section, and while I may not PERSONALLY think the Twilight series is one of them, you might!. So I say you try it!. If you don't like Twilight, I doubt you'll like the other three!. But if you do like it, enjoy it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I know everybody likes to talk about how original Twilight is, and how it's a "new take on vampires and werewolves," but I honestly don't believe this at all!. As a young adult who reads and reviews books for the Best Books for Young Adults association, Twilight, in my opinion, did not stand out!. I do not think Stephanie Meyer is a very good writer and her plot is overused and thin!. If you take every vampire cliche and romance novel cliche and combine them into one book, that is Twilight!. I think the reason Twilight is so popular is just overexposure and luck!. There are hundreds of books out there just like Twilight, but somehow Twilight caught the eyes of every teenage girl and now they spread it to their friends and it's a vicious cycle!. Although yes, I'm a teenage girl, this book really is good!. I honestly am madly in love with it, a book ! It is mainly a romance story, so if you're really into those, i can almost garauntee you'll love it!. Edward Cullen, the main male character and vampire is very chivalrous, gentleman-like and sweet!. He makes every other guy look pathetic!. The book, i think, is well written and gives great detail!. It would be too hard to say everything i love about these books, because there's so much, and it's not really something that can be put into words!. It's just something that you feel!. I just get excited when i read it!.
You know that feeling when you read a book, and you can feel what's going on!? If it's sad, youre heart hurts, or happy and romantic, it speeds up !? Well this book does that, A LOT!. You just egt very caught up in the forbidden romance of the first book, and it just sucks you in from there!. It's not really something that has a justifiable!.!.!.i don't know the word!.!. "goodness"!. it just is something you like!.

OH and the fact that they aren't your typical vampires!. the detail that goes into the Cullens is amazing!. And what i really enjoy about the book is that it's not just about being a vampire, since it is told from a human POV!. the male character just happens to be a vampire!. the thing i think that makes it soooooooooo amazing it just her new take on vampires and warewolves, it's just so different from other vampire books!. and besides that i luv the characters, i think alice, jocob, and emmet r lke the coolest ppl evr
and i m a person who doesn't lke a lot of books cuz, i hav a rly short attension span, but the twilight series was actually able 2 keep my attension

I think the series is okay, but i could have died in the second book!. The story is ORIGINAL, but sort of boring unless you are into the super long description of how gorgeous some characters are suppose to be vs events that actually take place

I'm also in my early twenties, so I understand your dilemma!. Personally, I like the series, probably more than I should!. The books are good, it's a compelling story line!. Is it honest to goodness good literature!? No, but it's not intended to be!. It's a VERY excellent series!. It's worth the buy!.

Though I feel like like that New Moon and Eclipse were rushed quite a bit!. It was kind of disappointing almost!.

i think is it is good!. i know a lot of teen girls read the books!. im 25 and i love them!. i also have noticed more guys picking up the series!. i feel the characters are well written so that we can all identify with them!. i feel this is an important aspect as to why the books have sold so well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I picked up the book as a casual read because a lot of people liked it!. Im into vampire books but didnt really expect a lot out of it!. But after I read it (in 1 day because i couldnt put it down) i had to buy the rest of them and now im hooked!.
