It depends!. If you know the difference between good and bad literature, then reading bad literature is just teaching you what not to do!.

If you read bad literature thinking that its good, chances are your writing will suffer!. You'll think that that's what poeple like to read, emulate the writing style, and eventually blow what could have been a good career!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think so!. If you're already a good writer, bad literature wouldn't have any affect on your writing!. You would recognize that it's bad literature and know where to improve on it!. You would probably read it with that perspective in mind!. If you're not a very good writer, it probably isn't going to help make you a better writer, though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Depends!. I personally don't think that there is a such thing as "bad" literature per se, it's more like shades of gray!. I have never read a book that I considered to be perfect!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
