i have to read an autobiography or memoir over the summer for AP English Junior year i need some suggestions and why -something less than 600 pages though cause i have to take notes on it!. and if its too long!.!. then!.!.!.!.yea!.!. please & thank you<3Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: My students who read "Angela's Ashes" always loved it (author Frank McCourt)!. It's the story of his life growing up in poverty in Ireland, to a mom who struggled keeping her kids fed and clothed and an alcoholic dad who ended up disappearing!. It sounds like it would be a real downer, but he's very funny!. Another excellent one -- on many honors-level curriculum reading lists -- is "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings" by Maya Angelou!. She has a beautiful writing voice, probably because she's first and foremost a poet, and she's had an incredible life!. This particular memoir is from her childhood years, when she was raped, refused to speak for many years, and sent to live with her grandmother in the South!. She continues the autobiographical series with 3 more books, but this is definitely her most famous!.Www@QuestionHome@Com A Cure for Gravity: A Musical Pilgrimmage by Joe Jackson was quite good it was a book i picked up at the dollar store!. its basically the story of how he got into music and the bands he played with and stuff!. i didnt know who he was and it was still a great book!. plus its only 285 pages!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I think you should read Daughter of Destiny: An Autobiography!. It was written by Benazir Bhutto!. I haven't read it, but I do know that she led a very interesting life before she was killed late last year!. You might want to check it out!. It looks promising!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Iberia by James Michener It details his travels through Spain, Portugal, and I think maybe Basque country!.
