1) in the first book, if voldy wanted the stone so bad why didn't he have quirrel "accio" the stone to him!? 2) in the fourth book why didn't harry just "accio" the dragons egg instead of the broom!? 3) SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!.!.!.!.!.!.!. Why didn't harry just "accio" all the hallows, and the horcruxes!?Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: ok! ill try my best to help:] 1!.) because the stone was protected by powerful spells, and it couldnt be summoned just like that!.!. 2!.)im guessing that accio wouldnt work on the egg itself because the teachers would have avoided the students from using that easy feature!. 3!.)the horcruxes were darkly protected by voldemort!.!.yes, you know like when harry tried to accio the fake horcrux from the lake, and an inferi jumped!.!.!.and the hallows, well Harry had no idea where they were, OR what they were, and to accio something you need that kind of information :] basically accio doesnt work on everything, you have to find a way around the loop!.;]Www@QuestionHome@Com 1 i cuz quirrel wanted the stone to use it while harry did not!. therefore it probably would not have worked 2 i think that would have been against the rules for him to do that!. if so everybody would have won the tournament 3 he couldn't accio the horcruxes because they were protected by voldemorts spells just like the cup was in the cave!. when harry tried to accio it inferi jumped out of the water!. he couldn't accio the hallows because he would then have to take them from their owner!. he was the owner of the cloak and the stone(dumbledore gave him them) so i think that didn't matter!. he had to win the wand fair and square after look how long dumbledore had his wand!? i bet voldy wanted to accio that but he knew it wouldn't work!. so he took it from his dead handsWww@QuestionHome@Com 1) It had charms on it so that it could not be summoned!. 2) It could not be summoned to make the challenge harder!. 3) Voldemort put charms on it because he was readying himself for the eventuality that someone would discover his horcruxes!. Remember when Harry tried to summon the locket!? An Inferi jumped out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com accio does not work for everything!. these are all powerful objects, which were protected so that no one could summon them!. the whole point is that these objects are difficult to find and obtain, accio is a very simple, small spell - not good enough to summon something protected by all the hogwarts teachers, guarded by a dragon or hidden by the most powerful dark wizard of the century!.!. i hope that made a little sense :-s xxWww@QuestionHome@Com 1) Dumbledore would have put a charm on it preventing that!. 2) Because he would have got very few marks from the judges!. 3) Because he didn't know what they were exactly, they were very far away and Mouldywarts put charms on them against that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Because that would not be as entertaining and suspenseful!.
