Question: The name of this book please!!!?

a kid runs away to the mountains!. makes a house in a tree and trains a pet hawk to hunt for him and lives up there a year!

its a grate book but i cant think of the name!! :(( i think it was a best seller and it was a audio book as well please some one help me lol please please with a cherry on top!
i have been looking for this book for like 2 years lol cant think of it to save my life
