Question: Interesting punk musician born before 1960 (non -U!.S!. citizen)!?

I'm doing a report for my Honors World History class and it has to be about someone influential that wasn't a U!.S!. citizen!. I want to do a punk musician, but I can't find any interesting biographies!. I have to read a book that is at least 200 pages!. If you could give me a name and a book title, that would be great! Elvis Costello was born in 1954 and was the first snotty-punk musician (think Green Day, Good Charlotte, et cetera, although he influences people like the Shins and Black Keys too!.) His stuff is completely awesome (and he has a new album out, Momofuku)!. He is English!.

Complicated Shadows: The Life and Music of Elvis Costello seems to be well-reviewed, but I haven't read it yet!.

John Simon Ritchie aka John Beverly aka Sid Vicious born in 1957 helped spawn punk rock with the band The Sex Pistols!. Im sure there are numerous books and a movie titled Sid and Nancy!. If you like punk, he is your guy, he pretty much started it and for sure lived it!. Without ruining too much he died during the trial of his murdered girlfriend Nancy Spungen!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sid Vicious was born in 1957 in London!. He was part of the Sex Pistols!. I think most of the contemporary punk rockers like Greenday were born after 1960!.They made a couple movies about Sid Vicious but they didn't about Johnny Rotten; so i guess that means he was more popular!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
