Name suggestion?

Question: Name suggestion!?

So i've started a story that i really have my mind set on!.!.!.

I want the girl to have a strange name, but beautiful!.!.!. Y'know!? Like!.!.!. strange beauty!.

I have Hazel and Amber, but i'm not too sure about them!.!.!.

I found it hard to make a choice for names, and have actually changed my main characters name after my first edit!.

I don't want to suggest for you because what's strange but beautiful to one might just be strange to another!. It has to be a personal choice!.

My suggestion, Choose your favorites and check baby name pages to see what the names mean!. If you find one that speaks to your character, Where the meaning fits the character to a tee, then go with it!.

For me, I had to make up a name!. Well, It's been used before, but it's uncommon!. My character is all about time!. She's also Dutch (as am I)!. The dutch word for time is Keer, so I tweeked the spelling of Kira and her name is now Keera!.

Hazel, Amber!.!.!.those names are both fairly common!. If you want something mysterious, go for the road less traveled!. Some of my favorite names--and I'm not sure if they'll suit your purpose--are Ruby, Evangeline, Lucina (based off of a Greek nymph or muse, I don't quite remember), and Calliope!. But yeah, I suggest checking baby name sights, or looking into your favorite mythologies--Greek gods, Arthurian legend--for inspiration!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Amber to me says teenager; Hazel says older woman!.

I would go with Russian, of anything--it has a similarity with English names but is remote enough to seem unusual/strange to the American reader:

Galina, Irina, Zinaida all are names that are jumping out at me from a Russian names list that would have the right quality!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
