The Godfather is long novel!. Basically, the actual plot is very small and simple!. But in keeping with the the Mafia type genre Puzo hads made it a bit more adult and violent!.(which I think it could have been done without as well)!.!. What makes the novelk long is sub-plotting!. Each and evry major and minor character has a story and history which has been generously dealt!. Its an easy and interesting read!. There is a lot of information about Italian Mafia in that novel - thats rthe most interesting aspect of it!.
