Question: What book do you reccomend!?

I am looking for a gift to send to a well read friend of mine in the UK!. I want something that will leave an impression on him, something unique!.

I think The Cider House Rules would leave an immpression!. Or Atonement!. Or Playing the Moldovans at Tennis by Tony Hawks is so funny and perfect for a male reader!.

Although i think Twilight is good, i dont think it would be read by anyone othet than a female teenage audience and dont think it is appropriate in this case!.
