Question: Have they stopped making holograms!?
i don't mean like the little glittery ones you get on credit cards, i mean the amazing ones that were all the rage in the 80s where it actually looked like a 3D sculpture with an insane degree of depth!. I remember an exhibition with a holographic telescope that looked totally 3D and if you lined your eye up with the eyepeice you could actually look through it and see another image! I haven't seen anything like it since!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

They do make them, however there are very few made now!. They are apparently very expensive to produce, and they quickly degrade over a period of 5-15 years!. also, people have lost interest in them!. There is a shop in New Hope, PA, USA that specializes in them and has quite a selection!. There is one there of a microscope, and when you put your head where you would put it to look into the scope, a magnified image of a mosquito comes into focus!. Very coolWww@QuestionHome@Com

HOW amazing were they!
I really miss them, you don't see them much, huh!.
In Melbourne where I'm from, there's one at a burger joint called 'Lord of the Fries'!. While you wait for your burger they encourage you to take a peek!.
You look through it and you can see the shop in hologram form from about 15 meters behind yourself!.
I am always fascinated by it :DWww@QuestionHome@Com
