How many things should I put in my design portfolio?

Question: How many things should I put in my design portfolio!?

I have an interview for design soon!. How many different pieces of work should i put in my folio!?
also how should i present it!? in a folder with plastic wallets or bound together!.!.!.!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

My suggestion is to get a A2 portfolio case with plastic pockets if you don't already have one!.

- On the right hand side, display a piece of art, i assume on your previous course you did basic life drawing and art, because to design, you have to be able to draw!. Thats what they want to see!.

- On the left you should place a piece of design work, if possible, relate it to the art drawing on the right, it shows the progression and inspiration of where you have come up with your design!.

- Mount your work clearly and neatly on a A2 sheets of paper or card, make the work correspond with the background colour of your sheet of paper!. EG!. White work on a black background!. Black work on a red background!?

- It's not quantity it's quality, you should at least have 10 - 14 pages though to be safe, they like to see a vast majority of GOOD work!. NEVER shove anything in that is not worth showing just to bump up the amount of pages!.

- Design portfolios should definately be professionally presented!.

- Dress smart, but still yourself ;)

if its for university i got told you should have 14-20 a1 sheets of card no wallets or anything just inside a portfolio folder!.

if its for college maybe 8 - 15 on paper/card i did have mine inside wallets for college!.

but university expect a lot higher standard everything should be lined up on the page perfectly all gaps equal and such!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

thing in a Portfolio: in a artiest world are the stuff that sell an sell well!.

it's not the $27,603!.00 for a hour drawing, an 19 drawing's!. It's the
