Question: Any good ideas of what I can draw for a sketchbook!?
Well, I'm in art 2 in my high school which is the second to highest art course!. I need an idea that isn't too basic or boring!. I ALWAYS draw clothes, and designs since I want to be possibly a fashion designer but for some reason my art teacher doesn't like the fact that I always draw clothing, and she finds it 'boring'!. *sigh*
So, I'd rather get an A on a sketchbook drawing something I don't really like then drawing clothing designs and getting a B!. :/
Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions are good!. :D
Thanks<3Www@QuestionHome@Com

portraits of your friends and family, you could include clothes in these, or gather some objects from around your home and put them in an interesting arrangement and do some still life!.!.!. (teachers always prefer that drawings are done from life rather than from photos)
whatever you choose to do i would suggest you use lots of different medias and styles to keep yourself interested and to impress the teacher ;-]

why dont you draw and actual person in the clothing!. they dont have to look realistic if thats not your thing, abstractions of the human form actually look realy cool!. You can even add splashes of background color using water color!. Here are some links for inspiration:

If you really want to learn to be a good sketch and drawing artist you should concentrate on hands, feet, fabric that has strong highlights and shadows, or the inside of fruit such as an orange!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
