Question: Which watercolors should I buy!?

Do not buy the little bottles of liquid watercolor!. !. !. you will not be getting enough pigment to do deep, intense colors if you want to!.

The Grumbacher Academy in the tubes are your best bet!.

Be sure to buy good brushes, a #8 round and 1" flat wash brush, either sable or synthetic!. Cheap brushes shed hairs and don't hold their shape well!. And buy decent paper, as the cheaper papers can be hard to paint on!.

If I could only afford three tubes of watercolor I would buy Winsor and Newton Antwerp Blue, Permanent Rose, and Daniel Smith's New Gamboge!. !. !. these three primary colors mix well, create the entire spectrum of colors, and do not make mud! Three tubes of paint would last you a long, long time!. I squeeze out my tubes into a covered palette and let them dry, adding water with a small spray bottle when i need to wet them for use!. the last a long time this way and are always ready to go!. also you waste less than if you use them fresh each time you paint!. The tubes can dry shut, so squeezing the contents out before that happens also saves a lot of headaches!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Definitely not the first 2 e-bay ones!. Grumbacher Academy are OK student grade!. Another choice as good is Winsor & Newton Cotman!.
If you have a bricks& mortar art supply store near by, that might be a better choice than an e-bay!. These items are really inexpensive and the shipping will make them expensive!.
By the way, the first two items are children's watercolors, and I'm assuming your are no longer in the 4th grade!.
Buy on e-bay when you can get a great price on something which is relatively expensive to buy locally!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
