Question: Why won't Bodies the exhibiton allow photographs!?
i went and was taking a picture (no flash, no sound) and some woman came and demanded i delete the picture!. she then made me go through every photo on my camera to make sure i didn't have anymore!. i just wanted to know if there was a good reason for them not allowing photos!. not just so they can sell more postcards or whatever!. but a legal reason!. i had some!.!.!.shall we say personal!.!.!.photos on my camera!.!.!.and i had to show them to her!. how embarrassing >!.< i was just wondering if i could have refused her request without getting into real troubleWww@QuestionHome@Com

Well, she couldn't have /forced/ you to delete the pictures, nor could she have detained you or the camera!. Even if you broke their rules on private property, no one can seize your camera (you) without a court order!. She cannot detain you for such a situation, and likewise, she cannot give you a citation for any crime or arrest you!.

But, if you're on private property (which this was) and it is clearly posted that you cannot take photographs, then you cannot take photographs!. Doing so is trespassing, and you can be subject to the resulting civil and criminal charges!.

Anyways, selling postcards or whatever is a perfectly legal and practical reason for the rule!. I mean, they're in the business to make money, and if they have people coming in and taking pictures, how are they going to sell those postcards!? In a broader scope, it's their private property, they can decide what goes on within, end of story!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
