The problem with acrylic paint is thatt it has a plastic base and therefore is very vulnerable to temperature changes!. These changes will cause acrylics to shrink and expand and ultimately will cause it to have poor adhesion to glass!. Aclear coatt will not effect the area where the paint connects to the glass!. A better bet would be to use a lacquer based oil paint!. It takes more to clean these up (they're not water washable) but they will stick to glass much more aggressively and are not affected as much by temperature!. If you need something water-based for glass, they do make paints specifically for working on glass!. They have both opaque and translucent (forstain glasss effects)!. I think Liquitex may make these but I'm not 100% sure of this!. Hope this was helpful!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
