I was going to do this one in color but she is really shiny!. I am going to use colored pencil!. How do I make it shiny!? Do I use metallic colors!? What are your favorite metallic color pencils!? Just think!.!.!.the pixels on the computer for her eyeshadow or lips aren't "metallic", they're just the same thing as the rest of the picture!. The only difference is the way those pixels are used to look metallic!. Study the precise colours close up (like the tiny white dots and patterns you can see), and then use your normal coloured pencils along with the white page background to copy the pattern of colours/texture in the image!. granted, it is tricky for a beginner!.!.!.but that's the propper way!. those metallic pencils are just a cheap shortcut =PWww@QuestionHome@Com No, don't use metallic colors!. Shinyness is all about getting the right color in the right places!. To find the right colors, look at each part by itself!. The highlight of her lips, for example, will be a very different color than the shadow of her lips which will be very different from the mid-tones of her lips!. If you have trouble, I found a great shortcut!. Put the photo in some photo editing software like Photoshop or Gimp!. Use the color picker tool (usually an eyedropper) and click on an area to see the color of that pixel!. It will give you the proportions of red, blue and green that can help in figuring out if you need to layer multiple colors and how much of each color to use!. The most reflective areas (the eyes and lips) have the hardest-edged and brightest highlights, whereas the least reflective areas (in this case the skin) have soft edges and a gradual transition from dark to light!.
