Question: I HAVE A MAJOR ISSUE HERE!.!.!.PHOTOGRAPHY OR CAMERA EXPERTS HELP!!!! what type of camera do i need!.!.!.!?
i'm going to get a new camera!!!
for christmas, that is!.!.!.!.this is a really tough decision for me, can u help me chose the right one!?!? :(

here are my 5 requirements for the camera:
i want to make sure it:
1) for appearance, it should look something like this:
http://www!.ndreview!.com/wp-content/uploa!.!.!.

so it is a professional photography camera, not just for family pictures!.!.!.in fact i want to use it for:

2) to do pika pika, aka light graffiti (so basically it needs shutter speed settings u can adjust):
pika pika is like this if u don't know---http://farm1!.static!.flickr!.com/74/199899!.!.!.

3) taking other pictures as well that come out in quality like this (vivid but soft, professional and crystal clear looking)---http://digital-photography-school!.com/bl!.!.!.

4) NOT a plain digital camera like this: http://farm1!.static!.flickr!.com/135/39886!.!.!.

so i've been thinking about getting a nikon or canon, probably!.!.!.!.!.which one should i chose!?!?!? or maybe a different brand!?

5)it has to be something i can order online, and then i need the name of the website and the model name of the camera!.

any other reccomendations are good even if it's a different brand, as long as it's a 'digital still' camera and i will be able to do pika pika (have shutter speed adjustments) and also take really clear pictures like that bird!!! (this is for my only christmas present, lol, so i know it will be expensive!.!.!.that's a given, so i'm not going to consider price right now)

please help me out!!! :)

and thanks in advace!!!! ^____^ vWww@QuestionHome@Com

You picked the right one!.

Most value for your money and you will be starting your "professional" system!.

For $450 you get the D40 with 18-55 mm lens or for $550 the D40 with 18-55 mm AND 55-200 mm VR!.

If the marketing folks and measurebaters (KR) have you thinking that pixel count is a big deal, read this!.

Whether your photos come out crystal clear, depends upon your skills as photographer!.

I would recommend the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi (www!.canon!.com)

That is what I have been using for a while and I have never been disappointed!. From what I can tell it fits most, if not all of your requirements!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You do realize that the same camera will do all four pictures you linked to, right!? Getting a better camera does not preclude you from taking #4!.

Canon Rebel XSiWww@QuestionHome@Com

canon xti is great for what you need!.

what is your budget!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Any digital Single Lens Reflex camera will work for you!. The D40 does not fall in any category called "professional!." Look for the best deals in kits!. Some cameras at lower prices come with only one lens, but for a few more bucks, there are DSLRS that have two lens kits whcih will give you more flexibility!. For Macro, however, you will have to spend more to get a macro lens - that will not be in any kit!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Just get the camera in your first link, number 1 on your list of 5 requirements - the nikon D40!. You can get one for around $400 w/ lens: http://www!.bhphotovideo!.com/c/product/47!.!.!. It's probably the most cost effective camera you could buy!. Sure, it's not the newest, but it's plenty capable of meeting every one of your requirements!. Despite having a 6!.1 mp sensor, it's still capable of of producing high quality images!. Here is a D40 flickr group, check out their pool: http://www!.flickr!.com/groups/nikond40wor!.!.!. So yeah, it doesn't have 12 mp, but to be honest, resolution has nothing to do with image quality!. Quality comes from the photographer, not the camera!.

That's if price was of concern!. You don't need to spend thousands of dollars on a camera in order for it to be good!. But, if you wish to buy one of the most advanced DSLR's out right now, look into the nikon D700, it's full frame, 12mp: http://www!.bhphotovideo!.com/c/product/57!.!.!. Here's a D700 flickr group pool: http://www!.flickr!.com/groups/nikkon_d700!.!.!.

As you can see, both cameras - the $500 camera and the $3,000 camera - can produce good images!. All that is left is to decide what you want to spend!. There are also a myriad of choices in between $500 and $3,000!. So look around!.

Any DSLR will do what you want, but you have to know how to use it to get the best out of it!. Join a club or go on a course, is not totally the camera that makes for good images - but a good one with all the functions helps!.

If your in the UK this is a good buy from a reliable, genuine supplier
