I have a drawing tablet called the Bamboo Fun small size( 3!.7 inches by 5!.8 inches)!. Does the size of the tablet affect the size of the drawing!? I have a huge monitor (22 inches wide) and it stretches all my drawings I draw with my tablet!.!.!. the drawings look good to my eyes on the screen, but when I print them out on my printer they look skinny, narrow and distorted!.!.!. Would a bigger tablet fix this!? New Printer!? (It's like 6 years old) Smaller Monitor!? I already adjusted the screen resolution!.!.!. and it still does this, I even worked on a image 100 percent, 200 percent, 300 percent view!.!. still narrow!. What do I do!?

I have a fun-size tablet and a tablet PC I have been doing professional work for quite some time!. To prevent distortion you need to make sure that you are looking at an unchangeable screen such as print preview!. Another way is to use a program such as Photoshop that has the ability to show you ruler lengths !.Your monitor will stretch the image to make it more comfortable on the eyes for things such as word processors and internet!. For us as artists it is like drawing on an inflated balloon!. Once you print the image, the information is sent without regards to the "inflation" done by the monitor and everything looks smaller, especially width wise!. When i do any art work on a computer I make sure I have a true reference in the beginning!. One of the best ways to do this is scan a sketch of the picture so you have some type of true guide to work with!. Sorry for such a long answer!. It is much easier to show in person!.

To preserve the dimensional integrity of the picture you are enlarging, make the pic bigger in microsoft word!.!.!.by holding down the shift key then pulling/stretching pic from corners!.This will prevent distortion!. Then save the document!. Or when you print, you can also save dimensions as an option in there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well if all you're doing is making it bigger w/ the same proportions then it's probably the small tablet because you can't really draw as well on a small piece since you can't see as well but if you think it just looks stretched out of proportion then you should make sure that all the settings are correct on your printerWww@QuestionHome@Com

I think the constraint is not the size of your tablet, but the size of your image!. If the image size is larger than 8!.5 x 11 inches, it will probably be distorted or cropped when printing!. Try resizing your images in different ways and use the "print preview" option before you print!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
