Most of them nowadays turned to digital medium format, like the 39 megapixel Hasselblad H3D or the new 60+ megapixels models!.

You will rarely see a famous fashion photographer use an SLR in studio, except as a backup!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It depends, in a studio where they have time some (a declining number) will still use film, especially if its for an advertising hoarding campaign, but increasingly digital backs are being used even here as sensors tonal range is increasingly approaching that of film (the only advantage film has)!.

A lot of old time photographers go with what they know, increasingly younger people who have cut their teeth on digital are changing things, as digital has so much of an advantage in post processing!.

If its a press photographer shooting a catwalk then it will be exclusively digital as the newspaper or magazine can be printing them within a few minutes!. Time is money to these guys!.

err!.!.Hasselblad medium format cameras are an SLR! So yes, fashion photogs use both film and digital SLR cameras!. Each has their own advantages and disadvantages!. Film will ultimately get you the highest quality and a nice look!. Digital is more sterile, but can be considered by most as more convenient!.

they us digital slr a slr is pretty much the best cameras you can buy they can cost thousands of dollars!. i do both photography and digatal is the easyer because film you have to have lots of stuff to prouduce a print like cemicals and a dark room with a digital you just upload it on to a computer that easy Www@QuestionHome@Com

For high quality reproductions in glossy magazines you still need to use a film camera, preferable medium format or larger!.

mostly they use DSLR, for billboards and 600dpi magazines they shoot medium to large format film
