It depends!.

Outside I use a sturdy tripod and step stool

In the studio, I usually have the model sit (set) on a stool!.

Don't forget to adjust for elevation and windage so your photons don't miss your focal plane!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like cotton and linen, but for a real blast, be sure to use steam!. Be very careful of your aperatooner when using steam, your shooter must be adjusted just right!. The "B" setting (boil) is best for this!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Just use your camera phone!. No settings to worry about at all! You can even have it say "say cheese!" when you take a picture! Bonus!Www@QuestionHome@Com

shutter speed : bulb (should hold it for about 15 minutes, if you get bored just dance a little jig)
aperture : 1!.8
