I use Hoya and have had great luck with them!. Some friends have tiffenWww@QuestionHome@Com

B+W make the best filters and have the best reputation!. Genuine Nikon filters are also good quality!. Average filters that are sometimes thrown in with camera purchases are Hoya!.

Be warned, a top of the line B+W Kaesseman CPL thin mount polariser could cost as much as your camera!. You will need a thin mount polariser for the very wide end of that lens so you do not get vignetting, however, also be aware that for subjects where there is plain blue sky, the polarisation effect will differ across the sky at the widest part of the lens!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The above answerers are right!.

Hoya, BW and Tiffen are the leaders in lens filters!.

Hoya filters are made by the same company that makes some of the Pentax lenses as well as their own lens company, Tokina!.

You will see most of the polarizing effect in the sky in the 18 mm to about 70 mm range when your camera is pointing 90 degrees to the path of the sun!. Reflections on water, glass and shiny paint will be reduced at any of the focal lengths!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

BW are the best!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
