There is something in photography called "Lomography" which is taking a "toy camera" or in other words, a cheap inefficient camera, and see how the image ends to be!.

Most of this cameras are made in plastic and usually has some light leaks that make some "cool effects"!.

The most famous cameras for this "kind" of photography are the Diana and the Holga!.

By the way, answering concretely about why is cooper edition and is made of plastic, the reason is the same why you would never expect a silver car to be painted with silver!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

david hasslehoff owns the rights to pink cameras, it was just to expensive to get the rights so they just used a copper colour,

copper i think is the colour not the materials for the contruction of the pro camera you linked us to i think!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
