Question: For you architects!.!.!.!?
I'm a freshman in high school and for the past 3 years I've been thinking about becoming an architect

I was wondering about the pros and cons about being an Architect
Is it stressful!? Time consuming!? No time for family!?
Which is better, working at home or house!?
Good money, good but not to high hours!?
From 1 to 10, what do you architects think it should be
And please only Architects, this may be a life changing decision!.!.!.
And if your not an Architect, please don't answer with an immature reply!.
Thanks :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've been in the industry for over 20 years with my own firm which won several national awards!. So here are my two cents answered in the same order as your question:
It is an extremely stressful and competitive field!. In the beginning, it is possible you will work 65-80 hours week (with no additional compensation), which means you're working long hours even during the weekends!. It leaves not only no time for your family, you have no time for yourself!. Are you required to do this, of course not, but you will be beat out by others in the office who are willing!. Those are the candidates who are rewarded in any given office!. Ultimately, it is up to you to decide what you're willing to do to succeed!.
I will assume you're asking whether it is better working from the home vs!. an office!. You will not be able to decide that much later in your career!. If you choose to work in the commercial market, you don't have the option to work solely from your home!. Most likely, you will work at the office and take work home!.
Money is all relative!. With all the hours you spend, you will make around $8-12/hour in the beginning!. It gets better once you pass your exams and can legally call yourself as an architect!.
I don't understand your 1-10 question!.
I may be painting a not so rosy image here, but I'm being honest!. If you can handle what I described to you, you will do fine in the industry!. It's not all bad, if it was no one will be doing it!. But no one stresses over the good parts of the profession!. You need to know what is it about the profession that interests you!. Like any other profession out there, you need to sacrifice in order to have a chance to succeed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
