What is the best materiel to use for designs on shirts?

Question: What is the best materiel to use for designs on shirts!?

There is fabric paint, but I don't know where to get it!. I also heard about a spray kind of thing, but I'm not sure if that would wear away in the wash!. I want it to stay for a very long time, as I'm probably going to wear this shirt a lot!.

I want to make crisp, straight lines on the shirt though, and I don't know if the thing I'm using to make the design would affect it!.

just one of your plain cotton t-shirts!.
and you can find fabric paint in most large craft stores!.
if you live in australia a good place to look would be spotlight!.
and if you live somewhere else you could have a peek in walmart!.!. or something like that!.=]
